Chest radiograph rib fractures

The PA chest radiograph is from a 43-year-old man with right sided chest pain following trauma. The conventional PA view (image A) reveals a subtle nondisplaced fracture of the lateral aspect of the ninth rib on the right side (arrow). Image B is a magnified and highlighted view of the fracture.
