Congenital hernia of the diaphragm

(B) The baby has a congenital hernia of the diaphragm. In this condition, the diaphragm (the layer of muscle that separates the organs in the chest from the organs in the belly) has a hole in it. Because of this, organs in the belly move through the hole into the chest.
