Bullous pemphigoid

This H&E stain of a skin tissue biopsy specimen from an early lesion of bullous pemphigoid demonstrates epidermal spongiosis; eosinophils within the epidermis; and a mixed, perivascular, cellular infiltrate in the upper dermis.
