Nikolsky sign

Panels A and B show the Nikolsky sign elicited by rubbing the skin at the periphery of an existing lesion. Panels C and D show the Nikolsky sign elicited by rubbing the normal-appearing skin distant from the lesions. These 2 methods appear to have different sensitivity and specificity for pemphigus.
