Coronary sinus and mitral valve on transesophageal echocardiogram
Posterior rotation of the transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) probe while in the vertical (90º) imaging plane allows for identification of the coronary sinus (CS) and left lower pulmonary vein (LLPV) (panel A). In panel B, slow anterior rotation of the probe delineates the posterior leaflet of the mitral valve (PML), the anterior mitral valve leaflet (AML), the CS, body of the left atrium (LA), inferior wall of the left ventricle (INF), and anterior left ventricular wall (ANT).
