Congenital syphilis: Transverse metaphyseal bands and diaphyseal destruction

Transverse bands of increased density across the metaphyses (small arrows) associated with patchy areas of bone destruction in the diaphyses. There is solid periosteal new bone formation (large arrow), which is best seen about the distal humerus.
