Survival in HF and disease severity
Impact of severity of disease on mortality in patients with heart failure. Patients with symptomatic heart failure had a two-year survival rate of 50 percent in the Mayo study and 63 percent in the Framingham study. By contrast, asymptomatic patients had survival rates of 82 percent in the SAVE trial and 85 percent in the SOLVD trial.
