Plain radiograph: Avascular necrosis of the hip (Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease)

Projection radiograph of the pelvis demonstrates characteristic changes of ischemic necrosis of the left femoral head (arrow). Mixed lucency and sclerosis along with coxa plana is typical of an active process.
