Trends in annual incidence rates of all-cause pneumonia episodes per 100,000 person-years among commercially insured children aged <18 years, 1998-2018
Average incidence rates for total all-cause pneumonia episodes are shown for each pneumococcal conjugate vaccine period. All patients' month and day of birth was imputed as July 1st. Age at onset was calculated as the difference between condition start date and imputed birth date. Patients with negative age at onset were included in the age 0 to 1 year cohort.
IP: inpatient; IR: incidence rate; OP: outpatient; PCV: pneumococcal conjugate vaccine.
