Saliva obscuring glottis during introducer insertion
This video clip shows an endotracheal tube introducer being inserted under the epiglottis and into the trachea of a patient with heavy secretions. Tactile sensation of the tracheal rings and resistance to deep insertion of the introducer are used to confirm correct placement.
