Positional deformity of the nasal tip and septum can occur due to the pressure exerted on the face during labor and delivery. This occurs more frequently in vaginal birth than in cesarean delivery. The deformity is apparent immediately after birth and usually appears as an anterior deviation in an otherwise well-formed nasal septum, as shown in panel A. It often resolves spontaneously, as seen in panel B, which shows the same infant several days later.
