This infant has congenital intrinsic narrowing of the left UPJ. This movie shows robotic-assisted pyeloplasty, using a transmesenteric approach. The renal pelvis, UPJ, and normal proximal ureter are being exposed in preparation for resecting the intrinsic narrowed UPJ segment. After the narrowed segment is resected, the normal ureter will be reattached to the renal pelvis, thereby relieving the obstruction.
