Ophthalmic: For topical administration only. If using more than one ophthalmic product, wait at least 5 minutes in between application of each medication. Remove contact lenses prior to administration and wait 15 minutes before reinserting. Do not touch tip of container to any surface, the eyelids or fingers, or surrounding areas.

Adverse events were not observed in animal reproduction studies following administration of oral lotilaner in doses >500 times the recommended human ophthalmic dose based on BSA.
Systemic exposure following ophthalmic use in humans is limited.
It is not known if lotilaner is present in breast milk following ophthalmic use.
Systemic exposure following ophthalmic use is limited. According to the manufacturer, the decision to breastfeed during therapy should consider the risk of infant exposure, the benefits of breastfeeding to the infant, and the benefits of treatment to the mother.
Lotilaner inhibits the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-gated chloride channels of mites resulting in paralysis and death of Demodex mites.
