2015 Morphological Uterus Sonographic Assessment (MUSA) criteria for diagnosis of adenomyosis

2015 Morphological Uterus Sonographic Assessment (MUSA) criteria for diagnosis of adenomyosis
Schematic drawings illustrating the ultrasound features considered currently to be typical of adenomyosis: asymmetrical thickening (A), cysts (B), hyperechoic islands (C), fan-shaped shadowing (D), echogenic subendometrial lines and buds (E), translesional vascularity (F), irregular junctional zone (G), and interrupted junctional zone (H). In an updated consensus article, published in 2022, a globular uterus was included as an indirect feature of adenomyosis.[1]
