Fact labels: Supplements versus foods versus over-the-counter medications
The "facts panel" on the label can help determine how the product is marketed. "Supplement Facts" panels (A) are required on labels for products sold as a dietary supplements, "Nutrition Facts" panels (B) on labels for products sold as traditional food, and "Drug Facts" panels (C) on labels for products sold as over-the-counter drugs.
