Central neurocytoma

Central neurocytoma
Central neurocytoma in a 31-year-old who presented with progressive headaches. Noncontrast CT (A) shows a mass in the body of the right lateral ventricle with peripheral foci of hyperdense calcification. Transverse axial FLAIR (B), precontrast T1- (B), postcontrast T1- (C), and coronal postcontrast T1-weighted (E) MRIs show a circumscribed, FLAIR-heterogeneous mass attached to a deviated septum pellucidum (arrows in B) with moderate-to-strong contrast enhancement. There is right lateral ventriculomegaly. Perfusion-weighted MRI (F) shows a focus of elevated relative cerebral blood volume within the tumor (thick arrow).
CT: computed tomography; MRI: magnetic resonance imaging; FLAIR: fluid-attenuated inversion recovery.
