Ultrasound of Morton neuroma

Ultrasound of Morton neuroma
Longitudinal 12.5 MHz ultrasound image of the third webspace obtained with a dorsal approach while pressing with the thumb (ET) from the plantar aspect of the foot shows the interdigital nerve (dashed arrows) as it passes underneath the intermetatarsal ligament (arrowhead) before deflecting dorsally and continuing in a fusiform hypoechoic Morton neuroma (arrow). A fluid-filled intermetatarsal bursa (asterisk) is dorsal to the neuroma.
