Ligneous gingivitis in plasminogen deficiency
Plasminogen deficiency is an autosomal recessive multisystem disorder characterized by formation of fibrinous pseudomembranes on mucous membranes throughout the body. Lesions in the mouth are nonpainful nodular ulcerations or gingival hyperplasia and often result in loss of dental integrity. (A) Lesion on upper gum. (B) Lesion on lower gum with gingival hyperplasia on upper gum.
