Doctors use the term "pericoital birth control" to refer to any birth control that you use at the time of sex. These are also sometimes called "barrier" methods.
* These are estimates for the percentage of people who will get pregnant after a year of using the method. "Typical use" means the way people use these methods on average. The pregnancy rates will be slightly lower with perfect use, meaning you use the method every time you have sex, and follow all instructions exactly.
