Sample report of a Type 3 home sleep apnea testing device

Sample report of a Type 3 home sleep apnea testing device
This represents a two-minute epoch of a Type 3 home sleep test. The snore signal shows some intermittent snores which are notably absent when the PFlow signal flattens. The THO signal, however, continues to show respiratory effort hence the patient has closed their upper airway (obstructive apnea). This is associated with clear oxygen desaturations (SpO2).
Snore: snore signal is derived from nasal pressure signal; PFlow: nasal pressure transducer measuring airflow; THO: thoracic impedance sensor measure respiratory effort; SpO2: oxygen saturation as measured by pule oximetry; Pleth: plethysmography measuring beat-to-beat heart rate pulsations; Body position: body position sensor embedded in device; Pulse rate: heart rate derived from pulse oximeter.
