Necrotizing soft tissue infection of the neck

The pictures show the first and (A) second (B) debridements of necrotizing soft tissue infection affecting the right neck in an older adult patient with a hematological malignancy. The exposed clavicle was covered with a laterally based perforator flap and the remainder of the wound was autografted with good results (C).
