Necrotizing soft tissue infection perineum and abdomen

The pictures show extensive necrotizing soft tissue infection affecting the perineum and abdominal wall in a female patient with uncontrolled diabetes (A). Management required fecal diversion with a colostomy and multiple debridements (B). The postoperative wound was managed with negative pressure wound dressing (C), and subsequent allografting and finally autografting (D).
