Patient positioning for minimally invasive right colectomy

The patient is placed on the operating room table in supine position with both arms padded and in a tucked position. At our institution, we use a steep Trendelenburg positioner table pad and a chest strap to secure the patient to the table. For a robotic approach, the da Vinci Xi system is positioned on the right side of the patient, perpendicular to the operating room table.
