Primary palpation of cricothyroid membrane

Primary palpation of the cricothyroid membrane (CTM) is shown above. The thumb and long finger of the nondominant hand are placed on either side of the thyroid cartilage to immobilize the larynx. The index finger of non-dominant hand palpates the CTM.
