Patterns of involvement of vasculitic neuropathy

Multifocal mononeuropathy, with simultaneous involvement of multiple noncontiguous named nerves (A). With progression (B), sequential involvement of more nerves leads to a late overlapping pattern (C) that resembles a distal sensorimotor polyneuropathy (D). In a plexopathy (E), weakness and pain may affect the entire limb, not respecting individual nerve distributions. The diagram is not meant to be comprehensive and does not capture all clinical presentations. For example, some patients may present with involvement of a single nerve distribution (mononeuritis). Others may have resolution in some nerve distributions and new involvement in others.
