The higher the DASI score, the more physically active the patient is. Patients who can achieve <4 METs have poor functional capacity, 4 to 10 METs suggest moderate functional capacity, and >10 METs suggest excellent functional capacity. The DASI questionnaire is not designed to assess very high levels of physical activity. The maximum DASI score is 58.2, which would be the equivalent of 9.89 METs.
