Kissing stents for revascularization of aortic occlusion

Kissing stents for revascularization of aortic occlusion
The images demonstrate revascularization of an aortoiliac occlusion (upper arrow; A). Lumbar collaterals (lower arrow; A) provide blood flow to the lower extremities. The iliac arteries bilaterally were crossed via transbrachial access with snaring of wires introduced from both groins. The location at which the wires are crossing approximates the location of the aortic bifurcation (B). Revascularization was accomplished with placement of kissing stents into the common iliac arteries bilaterally (C).
