Proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy in a 13-year-old girl with DKA. Spectra from the right basal ganglia reveal a lower NAA/Cr ratio during the DKA episode (A), compared with recovery (B). The lower NAA/Cr ratio during the DKA episode suggests cerebral hypoperfusion.
