Endotracheal aspiration technique

This graphic is a representative image of endotracheal aspiration. A small catheter is placed through the endotracheal tube until resistance is met. The catheter is withdrawn as suction is applied, and the sample collected is removed into a sterile pre-attached specimen trap.
