Flow of heat from core to periphery after induction of general anesthesia
Flow of heat from the core thermal compartment to the periphery after induction of general anesthesia. A similar redistribution of heat is the major cause of hypothermia during the initial hour of neuraxial anesthesia, although in these cases heat flow is restricted to the legs.
