Greater trochanter height in standing patient

Inspection of the patient prior to dynamic gait assessment includes evaluation of the height and symmetry of the greater trochanters. Normal height and symmetry are seen in the photograph above. The greater trochanters lie adjacent to each of the superior arrowheads.
