Classification femoral artery aneurysm
[1]
- Type I: Limited to the common femoral artery
- Type II: Involves the common femoral artery but extends into the origin of the superficial femoral or deep femoral artery
- Type III: Limited to the superficial femoral artery
- Type IV: Limited to the deep femoral artery
The original classification by Cutler included only type I and type II femoral artery aneurysm. The inclusion of isolated superficial and deep femoral aneurysm is advocated by some vascular surgeons, as given above.
