CPAP: continuous positive airway pressure; IV: intravenous; IM: intramuscular.
* To apply laryngospasm notch pressure, apply pressure with the fingertips to the area between the mastoid process, the ramus of the mandible, and the base of the skull. Laryngospasm notch pressure is also known as "Larson's maneuver".
¶ If succinylcholine is contraindicated, administer rocuronium 1.2 mg/kg IV, or if no IV access, 1 mg/kg IM in children <1 year of age, 1.8 mg/kg IM in children >1 year of age; expect prolonged duration of paralysis.
