CD1a-positive cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid in pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis

The diagnosis of pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis is supported by the finding of ≥5% CD1a-positive cells (Langerhans cells) in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid.
