Damage control shunting of iliac artery and ureteral drainage
The picture shows damage control techniques used to manage injuries to the right iliac artery (arrowhead) and right ureter (arrow) following a gunshot wound. A vascular shunt was placed into the injured iliac artery (arrowhead) and sutures tied into place above and below the tear. A urinary drainage catheter was also placed into the damaged ureter (arrow) to divert urine externally.
