Reported Use
To reduce sputum viscosity
Dosage Range
Oral:
Children >5 years: 100 mg 3 times/day
Adults: 100-200 mg 3-4 times/day before meals; reduce to 200 mg twice daily after 6 weeks
Prophylaxis: 100-200 mg 2-3 times every other day during winter months
