Stress fracture of distal shaft of fibula

The plain radiograph above was taken six weeks after the patient's initial evaluation, when the first radiograph images were normal but ultrasound revealed signs of a stress fracture. This later radiograph clearly shows a fracture in the distal fibula with callus formation.
