Postpartum patient with pain, bleeding, and fever. (A) Transabdominal sagittal image of the uterus shows fluid within the endometrial cavity and a shaggy irregular appearance of the endometrium anteriorly. (B) Power Doppler image shows no blood flow to this area of the endometrium, which rules out retained vascularized products of conception in this area. The patient was treated for endometritis and improved clinically.
