Great toe ischemic wound

This picture depicts an ischemic wound on the medial aspect of the left great toe. Note the extension of the wound through the entire dermis, fibrotic tissue on the wound base, and the hyperkeratotic tissue about the wound edge. These findings are indicative of an ischemic wound, particularly given the location near a bony prominence at a location at risk for pressure ulceration.
